You have completed the Porirua Grand Traverse.
What a fantastic event we had today! The youth challengers, the fun runners, mountain bikers, mountain runners and the duathlon and multisport eventers. Congratulations to you all.
Did you hear that one guy was going down hill on his bike and a wild goat burst from the bushes. The bike wheel was busted but the rider and apparently the goat are fine. The biker had to walk out though.
Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers; the marshals, the people who took registrations and handed out bibs, the Upper Hutt Community Rescue Team, The Coastguard, the BBQ and sausage cookers and the committee.
